Synthetic lubricant oil specially developed and made for high precision articulations. If regularly used, the lubricant oil extends the life and efficiency of the instruments. Used to lubricate surgical instruments to prevent their moving or mating parts from sticking together during use, to inhibit corrosion, and to improve longevity of the instruments. it may be a water-soluble solution, commonly known as instrument milk because of its white colour when mixed with water, in which the instruments are immersed, or it may be a spray that is sprayed onto instruments; this is typically done prior to the instruments being sterilized. after application, this device cannot be reused.
